Why Clarity?

Clarity Economic Consulting

Sometimes it can seem that the world is full of consulting firms, and choosing the right one for you can be challenging. You need a consultancy with the capabilities to serve you and with a the culture that matches your own.

We know that when you place your work with us that it’s not just a contract, you are placing your faith in us to deliver for you. Whilst we have an extensive network of experts that we can call on to support you, we choose to be a boutique business, and that means that you can be assured that:

  • your business really matters to us. You aren’t ‘just another client’ in a faceless big machine;
  • the team that you meet to discuss your project is the team that will do the work. We don’t substitute in junior staff. What you see and what you buy is what you get.

All our people are recognised experts in their fields and have held senior roles in the public and private sectors. This means that not only do we have exceptional technical knowledge and skill, but also that we understand your business your need for us to deliver report that is robust, pragmatic, and readily understood.

Our advice is robust. Having worked on projects as varied as acting as an Expert Witness through to the appraisal of policy and investment options we are aware that you need a report that is both robust and that will withstand scrutiny. Our analysis and evidence is always evidence based and we are very experienced in assessing what the data is and isn’t telling us. We are well versed in appraisal and analytical techniques, from cost-benefit analysis and impact assessment through to strategic appraisal.

We don’t want to produce a document that will gather dust on a shelf. We want our work for you to have impact and enable you to move your business forward. To do this, we combine academic and technical excellence with the ‘lived experience’ of our team as senior leaders in the public and private sectors. This means that we will:

  1. work collaboratively with you to understand what you need;
  2. ensure that our work is robust;
  3. ensure that our work is readily understood, and crucially;
  4. use our public and private sector experience to deliver advice that is pragmatic and useful.

In short, Clarity was set up to be the consultancy we wanted to hire when we were senior leaders in the public and private sectors: client focused, honest, pragmatic and robust.
